It's fun to find what the hight tide left behind.
A Hint of the Sea
Mendicino County

A small shaft of midday light penetrates through the redwood canopy of Northern California's Temperate Rainforest.
Commander Starfish

This was photographed out in Oregon not too far past the California border.
Praying for the Tide
Very remote in Humboldt County
Northern California
Yes those are flies on this slowly dying starfish. Shot a few exposures to catch the bugs as sharp as could be and noticed a lot of movement while the starfish seemed to be stationary in front of me. I thought I would give you a different view and emotion feeling rather you than what would usually find. The big rock was left alone to avoid disrupting the scene. I think that bright starfish is going to live to see the next high tide.
The style here is pretty documentary with a touch of art. Thank you for viewing this new gallery.
